I am so happy right now

So my queer choir threw an end-of-season / goodbye party this evening and I am so happy. So so happy. I love my choir. This is the first time since I joined that we've all just been able to sit around and talk and I got to know them so well and had so much fun it was amazing. We talked about sibling fights and stereotypes, grandparents, jobs and overkill allies and work-in-progress allies, Japanese cockroaches, Christmas movies and d&d, farms, hair, the local queer summer camp, me being the youngest singer in the choir (15, everyone else is like early twenties-forties), and how I get mistaken for older while Jenny is 22 and looks about 14, cats, injuries, WWOOFing, the fact that I hadn't actually told some of my family that the choir was LGBTQ+ and they only found out at the concert, and I came out to them as non binary and everyone used my preferred pronouns all night!!!! I became much better friends with ken and Rebecca and Jenny and Kaya and hannahbeth and Alice, and everybody basically. I'm so sad that Alice and Chris are leaving, I only got a year singing under Alice and only a few months with Chris doing piano, as our other pianist had a baby. But I'm looking forward to singing under Abra, the new director, and curious as to who she's found to play piano for us! Also hannahbeth was worried about me walking home by myself because the venue and my house are in an iffy neighbourhood near an awful lot of bars and she asked me to message her when I got home!!! Like, she cared! Enough to check up on me!
