Rey is probably not an Aries like Daisy is, and Finn is probably not a Pisces like John is, but I decided to play around with the idea anyway, because I like that combo, and the chemistry can be fantastic (as weâve all seen)! Drawn as a Patreon reward by @horreurscopes. Thank you, Alex! <3
What if instead of running into Han and Chewie, Rey and Finn and gone on all sorts of adventures across the galaxy and run into a huge treasure chest on an Outer Rim planet? They could probably buy their own moon? But first theyâd spend a while checking out the goods ...
Done on commission by the always fantastic @bachban for @finnreyfridays. Happy 100th, folks!
Who says thereâs no board games in a galaxy far, far away? And Finn and Rey are going in for the kill!
This is what Iâd love to see in the final movie. Finn and Rey as a loving couple, encouraging each other, and Poe (and BB-8) and Rose as part of the core four, and all of them super close, and working together to kick the First Orderâs ass. Make it so, JJ Abrams!
Another wonderful commission by Harim. May the Fourth be with everyone!Â
A retelling of Finn and Reyâs Epic Reunion Hugâ˘. Written for @finnreyfridaysâ:
*
Rey hears fear resonating through the Force as soon as the Millennium Falcon enters Craitâs atmo. She reaches out and follows the threads of fear, telling Chewie where to go, until they see the source of the conflict: a battle, raging in front of a giant steel door.
On one side, Rey can feel the hatred and vitriol of Kylo Ren, and on the other - just beyond that door - the fear of a group of people who are trapped.
For a panicked moment, Rey doesnât know what to do. Then she hears Finnâs voice in her head, cutting through the static.
Rey? Is that you? Are you really here?
Iâm here, Rey sends, her heart leaping at the sound of Finnâs voice.
Where are you? Rey asks him. And how can I help?
Finn tells her their situation and directs her to the back escape tunnels of the old military base. There, a heavy pile of boulders keep the last survivors of the Resistance in a death trap.
But not for much longer. Not if Rey can help it.
Rey grounds herself, planting her feet in the crimson clay earth, and reaches out with the Force, the way Luke taught her to do. A few of the smaller rocks from the top of the pile lift up and drop to the side, but itâs not enough. There are still a hundred heavy boulders keeping the survivors locked inside.
Rey takes a deep breath, and tries again. She reaches out with her heart, her hand, her mind, imagining the Force flowing through her and around the rocks, freeing the survivors within.
Still, nothing.
Then she hears Finnâs voice in her head, and feels his presence as strongly as if he were beside her.
Together, Finn says. We can do it together.
Rey tries again, reaching out with all her might, and this time, it works. She watches in wonder as the enormous pile begins to lift and disperse into the air, creating a constellation of floating rocks all around her.
Then, through the asteroid belt of debris, she sees Finn.
Finn runs toward her, and the earth literally parts as he does so. The last of the boulders move out of the way and settle gently down to the side.
Reyâs heart explodes with joy at the sight of Finn. Then she launches herself into his arms, and sheâs being held tighter than sheâs ever been held. Sheâs never felt so precious, or so loved.
There are a million things she wants to say - Are you alright? Did your injuries heal? I missed you every moment - but what comes out, instead, is, âI love you.â
The words are barely whispered, and they hang in the air like the boulders had done, solid and beautiful in their chaos.Â
Then Finn brings her back down to earth with a kiss, gentle and hungry at the same time.
Thereâs a war all around them, and people are shouting for them to run, and they really should be making a tactical retreat.
But Reyâs nipping at Finnâs lip, and heâs cupping her cold cheeks with warm hands, and for a moment, there is nothing but the two of them.
Then a retreating soldier barrels into them on the way to the falcon, and the spell is broken. From the boarding hatch, Leia calls out, âEscape now, kiss later!â and Finn and Rey laugh, and scurry to the falcon hand in hand.
Once theyâre all safely inside, and on their way into atmo, Finn pulls Rey close and whispers, âI love you too.â
He was on his way, Rey just knew it, better yet she felt it. Finn was on his way.
Her thoughts were cut short as she barley ducked the red glowing blade above her head. There before her stood Kylo Ren. He was the bandit child of Leia and Han, a child that even satan would reject. He was pure evil.
Rey jumped back to dodge another strike. She had to get focused, but it was difficult, her anticipation for Finnâs return was too hight, especially now.
Kylo jumped in the air and struck down hard meeting Reyâs saber head on. Rey stood her ground, putting all of her strength into her hold. She pushed him back and threw a kick to his gut. Kylo responded with a kick of his own, knocking Rey down the hill.
Little by little she let breaths loose hoping to regain energy. She looked to her side to see the flames of the burning empire around them. The war was ending.
She knew Finn was coming.
Footsteps drew Reyâs attention back to black cape in front of her. A cape with wear and tear, much of what she caused. Her eyes moved higher to the capeâs wearer. Kyloâs face was scarred, but Rey noticed more were his eyes. Murderous eyes that looked on to her, his next victim. It gave Rey a feeling of seasickness. To Kylo, this was all just a game.
He walked up to her and only stopped to spit out blood from his damage. Rey suddenly felt a jolt of energy, the Force rising within her.
Kylo lifted his saber only to be knocked off into the distance. To Reyâs right stood to Jedi who Forced Pushed the mad killer. Finn walked up to Rey and lifted her off the ground.
Rey couldnât help but smile, âYou came.â
Finn returned her smile, âAlways.â
The two Jedi turned back to the injured and drained villain.
As much as I love HP, I had to go to the pirates theme for this week. This is the sort of fight scene that should have been in TLJ I always imagine when I think of Rey and Finn fighting together and cutting down their enemies. Done by the ever-amazing @hippano on commission,â this is pretty much Black Sails meets Star Wars, and I flipping love it. Thank you so much, @hippano!
Reyerella's FairygodJediMaster gifts her with shoes embued with the Force so that she can be completely comfortable while wooing Prince Finn with her beauty and charm. Done on commission by the always incredible @bachban for @finnreyfridays and the "May I have this dance" theme.
