he's livid. perhaps livid is a little exaggerated, but as soon as myungjae spots the new x-men roster on the wall and his name isn't on the list, he can feel a buildup of anger and disappointment layer over his particularly hopeful mood he had experienced the entire morning. myungsoo was an x-men, it was just left up to him to become one and then they'll be the same again. there won't be any comparisons between them and myungjae wouldn't have to suffer through the lectures of "why aren't you as smart as your brother?" from his teachers. but there's a name that catches him off guard — his eyes glancing over the roster twice before he registers it. park chanyeol. his best friend; someone who he shared the same closeness with as he did with myungsoo, someone that he worked with and trained with and hoped to become an x-man with —  and while he should feel happy, ecstatic, proud, he doesn't. he's filled with envy and jealousy that only heighten his anger and lead him to storm off toward the dorms, his lips turned into a scowl as the only thoughts in his mind are bitter. "hey, yeol."
