just finished watching The Umbrella Academy (s1-2) and uhhh... can someone explain to me why the directors focused in on... feet???? so much???

like, it got to the point where I was thinking, “am I gonna have to identify this character by their feet later??”

then, later in the same scene:

and I kept expecting there to be some sort of moment where we’d have to identify her feet but there... wasn’t??

did I miss a part of the episode??

but also:

like, at least here the feet were used for something, but I’ll always be haunted by the knowledge that it could’ve been done differently.

directors who focus in on feet have the most chaotic energy I stg.

as far as I know, these episodes were directed by different people, but still.
