Fear Dubh
So im back on the research clearly i am not thinking straight
From what i have manged to find out so far Fear Dubh Is Scottish or Gaelic Legend Meaning "The Black Man" or "The Dark man" and has been reported as malevolent by most sources the creature is said to haunt footpaths and Woodland Areas, And appear outside windows.
Is reported to have some connections to the christian devil but most Describe it As a older version of slenderman
That is pretty much all i could find as far as the key connections go the legend pretty much goes dead after 3 pages of google so i am unsure this is as ancient as they say

Fear Dubh
Fear Dubh (the Black Man) is allegedly a Rare Scottish legend concerning a malevolent entity that haunts footpaths and forests at night. In ancient times, it used to be connected to the Christian devil, but most of its characteristics are closer to that of a primitive Slender Man. It was used to scare small children to stay indoors and keep pesky children from snooping in the woods without their family. Details on this story were sketchy so I did some digging. I talked to a local pastor, Father O'Leary. He was nervous when I talked to him. He described the Fear Dubh as a creature with no face and no hands. He told me of an incident a while back with an old lady and another pastor who went walking in the woods. Both were found dead. The old lady died of a stroke. The pastor died of a heart attack...at the age of 30. Despite this, the police sealed off the woodland. The old ladies house was set on fire days later, supposedly by vandals. He then handed me a rosary, and said the following words "May heaven help your soul"
