he’d been trying to hold back from her ,   trying to avoid this .  but apparently she couldn’t just let it go .   spinning around on his heels ,  he storms back over to her ,  jaw clenched ,  hand raising as if he’s about to HURT her ,   cornering her against the side of the corridor that she’d followed him into .  “ for good reason ,  elora . ”   he hisses out ,  teeth gritted together ,  eyes wild .   “ this isn’t some pretty palace where you can swan around and play your games . ”  he snarls .  “ this is a military base .  the people here will have no QUALMS in killing you if you even look at them in the wrong way .  your title doesn’t matter  ----  your power means nothing here .   you are in exceptionally dangerous territory  ,  and being around me is only going to make it worse for you . ”   what were parents even thinking in bringing her here ?   “ you need to LEAVE while you still can . ”

“ that  is ,  unfortunately ,  just  how  he  is . ”    slight  grimace  is  given  behind  usually  composed  features ,   watching  with  DISGUST  at  the  way  kurtis  makes  his  way  around  the  room ,   sidling  up  to  anyone  he  thinks  will  give  him  the  attention  he  so  clearly  craves .   out  of  the  corner  of  her  eye ,   she  can  spot  magnus  mirroring  her  expression ,   already  fed  up  with  the  lord’s  behaviour  too .   offering  a  tight  smile  to  the  rest  of  the  room ,   she  shifts  closer  to  her  friend .    “ i  would  recommend  avoiding  him  at  all  possible  costs . ”   she  says ,   listing  the  glass  of  peach  juice  to  her  lips  as  if  if  to  disguise  the  rather  unladylike  gossip  she’s  encouraging  the  other  into .   “ one  time  i  felt  too  RUDE  to  reject  his  offer  for  a  dance ,   and  i  was  used  like  some  trophy  for  the  remainder  of  the  night . ”   jaw  clenches  slightly  at  the  memory .   “ he  is  like  a  leech  and  i  am  extremely  sorry  that   my  father  invited  him  tonight . ”

gaze   slips   across   to   the   princess ,    a  slight  look  of  bewilderment  on  his  face  at  the  confidence  she  has  in  speaking  to  him .    “ i  did  not  mean  to  cause  you  any  offence ,  princess . ”  he  says ,   respect  for  her  quickly  growing  as  he  tilts  his  head ,  taking  her  in  properly .   “ we  arrived  later  than  anticipated ,  and  your  father’s  advisors  wanted  to  talk  over  some  things  before  our  meeting  this  morning .  those  discussions  ran  quite  LATE  into  the  night  and  i  figured  by  that  point  most  of  your  guests  would  have  already  retired  for  the  evening . ”   it’s  the  longest  explanation  he’s  ever  offered  anyone ,  but  there’s  something  about  her  and  her  family  that  makes  him feel  the  need  to  try  to  be  POLITE .

“   make me.   ”    the petty,   and rather ill-advised utterance is out before she can think any better of it;   though even if she HAD thought about it,   she’s not sure she’d take it back.   if she’s being honest,   perhaps she’s baiting elora...    their little game has left her feeling off balance for a while now,   but she doesn’t necessarily mind it anymore.   there’s something heady about the entire thing,   and maybe she’s chasing that feeling   ---    the same one she gets when staring down at the crashing waves before diving off a cliff.   she tries not to smile when elora takes the bait,    though her breath still hitches as she finds herself pressed against another wall,   cool metal brushing her throat.   her pulse quickens,    blood rushing to her cheeks as a dizzying rush of adrenaline floods her.   this time,   her free hand comes to clutch the other’s waist as a smirk plays at her lips.    “    oh,    elora,    is something BOTHERING you?   ”   she whispers as she slowly,    carefully,    lifts her chin to bare her throat just a bit,   brows raising,   smirk turning to a soft,   humorous laugh.

     𝐀  𝐒𝐔𝐃𝐃𝐄𝐍  𝐑𝐔𝐒𝐇  of  emotions  ,  as  the  feeling  of  slender  fingers  crossing  the  rough  uniform  of  the  officer  was  discovered  .  leaving  varn  at  awe  when  striking  beauty  met  his  ever  yearning  eyes  .  their  meetings  were  short  and  dangerous  -  knowing  that  each  time  𝐃𝐈𝐒𝐂𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐘  could  lurk  behind  every  corner  .  (  still  their  lives  seemed  intertwined  .  )  a  man  offering  each  time  a  place  at  his  side  .  for  true  power  did  not  linger  in  the  𝐄𝐌𝐏𝐓𝐘  halls  of  a  castle  .  ❝  i  do  not  like  the  idea  of  sneaking  passed  your  guards  ,  my  lady  .  .  .  ❞  admiral  ,  a  title  that  gave  him  strength  and  respect  among  the  soldiers  of  this  kingdom  .  though  even  they  knew  of  the  pairs  longing  visits  .  (  a  𝐏𝐀𝐓𝐇  of  treachery  .  )  

     𝐅𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐄𝐑𝐒  𝐂𝐀𝐑𝐄𝐅𝐔𝐋𝐋𝐘  𝐁𝐑𝐔𝐒𝐇𝐄𝐃  a  strand  of  hair  out  of  her  face  .  allowing  eyes  to  set  upon  the  choice  of  dress  -  not  one  of  adans  choices  it  seemed  .  however  the  princess  did  have  𝐓𝐀𝐒𝐓𝐄  .  ❝  have  you  reconsidered  my  offer  ?  you  could  claim  the  galaxy  with  your  grace  and  drown  it  in  sorrow  the  next  day  .  ❞  (  a  true  mischievous  mind  this  one  𝐂𝐀𝐑𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐃  .  )

her head is throbbing and she’s still a little groggy,   but irritation is burning that grogginess away as she takes in her...   visitor?   the last thing she remembers is being chased down,   being frozen,   and rendered unconscious,   something mentioned about a map?   it must be the map that BB8 had been carrying.   concern for the droid makes her frown,   hoping that it hadn’t been brought in alongside them.    “   i really DON’T.   ”    frustration seeps from her,   but she can’t do much about it other than some futile shuffling of her arms in the restraints.   this level of security is beyond overkill;   what could they possibly believe she was going to do?   “   who ARE you?   ”   brows furrow as she looks the blonde over,   “   why am i HERE?   ”    she knew going along with alluria and the spoiled prince had been a bad idea.   how long has she been away from jakku?    who’s to even say how long she’s been unconscious?   her frown deepens as she considers how much time she’s spent away;   what if this ONE time she’d left is when they’d returned?   her family.   swallowing her worry,   she raises her brows at the woman.   “   what game are you going on about?   ”

     𝐒𝐔𝐂𝐇  𝐏𝐀𝐒𝐒𝐈𝐎𝐍  𝐇𝐈𝐃𝐃𝐄𝐍  away  beneath  the  shining  orbs  of  the  princess  .  the  hatred  becoming  one  of  her  faithful  allies  .  it  was  an  emotion  that  could  drive  a  person  to  the  most  uncommon  of  things  -  animal  like  instincts  all  but  taking  over  a  fragile  𝐁𝐎𝐃𝐘  .  (  amends  of  her  lacking  source  of  respect  needed  to  addressed  .  )  for  the  king  took  pride  in  his  pledged  allegiance  to  the  first  order  .  in  no  means  would  he  dare  to  𝐓𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐓  such  reputation  .  she  was  but  a  mindless  child  .  thrown  away  by  an  admiral  of  the  order  .  (  there  had  never  been  any  interest  .  )  though  certain  lust  for  company  needed  to  be  satisfied  .  𝐓𝐇𝐔𝐒  a  game  of  wit  started  to  progress  .
