A major goal of the Occupy Wall Street protest that's been happening in New York City for nearly a month is to teach the banks that ruined America a lesson. The financial industry's pursuit of money at all costs is a large part of why the United States is suffering today, but their "too big to fail" power is so intimidating as to confuse people wondering how to punish them for their unethical practices. Bank Transfer Day may be the solution everyone is looking for.
Bank Transfer Day is a grassroots effort to get anyone upset with large predatory banks to move their money to nonprofit credit unions by Saturday, November 5. People vote with their dollars far more often than they vote at the polls, and taking your money away from an institution with which you disagree is perhaps the best way to get back at big banks. Money talks to these people, so how about making your money silent?
Because completely shifting your finances can be a daunting task, communications firm Fearless Revolution has come up with a detailed step-by-step guide to leaving your big bank and joining a credit union. The final step: "Stand in front of a full-length mirror. Admire yourself. You've earned it."

A COMMON STORY
(It was super hyper inspiring material for me - Give thanks to environmental team of Hyper DM :D)
Sometimes when I work, I like a bit of background music. Well no ma'am, not today! I noticed an episode of Fearless Revolution TV was just about to start so I tuned in with no expectations. It was an interview with Allen Lim, a sports physiologist, someone I've never heard of but a humble coach who's trained the whos who of the cycling world like Lance Armstrong and Floyd Landis. While professional cycling isn't quite my thing, he was a true story-teller and drew me in instantly with his soft-spoken voice. He shared many stories of triumph, competition and handling insecurity, and personal choices as he transitions to a new chapter of his life. He is quietly inspiring. He also shared two more things that I've never heard of:
1) X - a drink mix that he helped develop over the years to hydrate athletes (and non athletes) with natural ingredients
2) Research findings that sleep extension over a period a time can have positive and measurable effects on athletic performance based on research done by Cheri Mah at Stanford.
Allen Lim is someone I'll definitely be following from now on @allencolim. Down the twitter rabbit hole I go.
The economics of happiness - A new film The Economics of Happiness explores the idea that a true measurement of how well off we are must include a way to measure overall happiness. Our current system is failing us on many levels. Can we design a better system? via fearless revolution
