The spear wielding Waddle Dee was asked to patrol the nearby areas of Castle Dedede in Dream Land and as his loyal subject, he was more than happy to do so. Spear in hand, he was walking down the path of a nearby plain and saw an unfamiliar face sleeping under a tree. When he approached the stranger, he examined the gear he was wearing before gently tapping his shoulder 

“Excuse me sir... Sir!” He spoke up to try and wake him up

The cosmic hero leads the tiny captain into his humble abode to get him out of the rain. Rainy weather was a mixed bag for Brandon: On one hand he liked the kind of atmosphere it makes, but he didn’t liked getting soaked by it. Plus he hated to see someone get soaked by the rain as well, worried that they might catch a cold or something. So he was more than happy to invite Captain Toad inside his house

“Here we are, are you feeling alright buddy?” He asked the captain after removing his cap, jacket, and shoes

❝Eeaaack! It’s a walking mushroom! Listen here, buddy o’ chum, you needn’t come after big ol’ D here! I don’t even like veggies! I don’t like eatin’ ‘em as much as  fries or burgers so y’can jus’ leave me be!❞

Wait. ❝ Hold on just a cotton pickin’ minute...ain’t you one of those mushroom fellas from the Mushroom Kingdom? ❞

The panic was over. This was not  a mushroom monster with a thirst for vengeance. No. This was merely one of these mushroom people that were commonly known for working under the rule of Princess Peach, a princess King Dedede was familiar with. This was all Dedede knew of these people.

“Of course, one cup of tea coming up.”

The Observatory was never the same after Mario and his friends left. She missed the whole Brigade in her home, it hadn’t felt nearly as alive since. So how could she pass up the chance to invite at least the leader back over? It only deemed appropriate after their little adventure she assisted in. From what the celestial guardian had heard, her small friends had been quite busy since they parted ways. Little bits and pieces of the adventures from them reached her, but never any full tales. 

“Have the stars found you well?” That sweet gentle voice could only ask as she went to prepare her favorite apricot tea for the other. “How have you and your friends been?”

"Ms. Rosalina, I've been wonderin'... where exactly do starbits come from? And why do they taste so good?" { ask and ye shall receive }

  “ Would you believe that I still don’t know myself? ”

  Their existence even puzzled the galaxy’s guardian, a woman thought to know know all about them herself. Still, she did have a few theories from her observations and time in space, but their actual origins may be unknown for a long time.

  “ I believe they originate from meteor trails, little bits and pieces left behind from them as they travel to space. It’s simply a theory, though. ”

         The last thing the Captain had expected when he entered his home was to see the Wreck-It Ralph dead asleep on his couch… he would be honored, if he wasn’t so confused. Honestly, he was surprised he even managed to fit into his house in the first place. He set his backpack down near the door, approaching the giant slowly and quietly.

          ❝ Uh, excuse me, Mr. Ralph? Hello? ❞

         Truthfully, the Captain didn’t want to wake him up (he was sleeping so peacefully, after all), but he was rather curious as to what brought him to the Mushroom Kingdom, and more specifically, his game.

Ralph grunted and rubbed his eyes, it took a few seconds for the world to come into focus, but when it did Ralph was startled to see a Toad staring curiously at him. He jumped a little, this caused one of the couch’s legs to splinter under his weight. 

“Oh... uh, hi, you must be the Captain.” Ralph said sleepily
