Can someone please help me?
Anybody have a reliable guide or advice for me on cleaning harvested feathers? I’m looking to use them in crafts and jewelry and would prefer a nice, simple, more natural method if possible. I’ve read to just freeze them and then clean them with tea tree oil, that just freezing them alone is enough, to use bleach(which seems to be just asking to destroy the colors), and on yet another page that they’ll never be safe to use - which sounds absurd. I lost my link to the list of legal feathers someone composed on here, too, and I keep finding conflicting information on mallard duck feathers? I’m really just feeling overwhelmed ><.
