After playing for a while in Japanese, I had actually headcanoned a couple of months ago that Alfonse’s dad was one of the ones who opposed him joining the Order, since Alfonse’s castle quote about the opposition is less specific about who opposed him in the JP quote. It physically pained me to read Alfonse’s dialogue making it canon. Our precious feather prince deserves better... o(-<
