Volo said she was more isolated (like a wise woman/Oracle/ baba yaga on the edges ot society sorta thing)from what he knew when he was little. The celestic settlement Volo was a part of always asked her for divinely inspired advice and information of the legends of sinnoh. the children saw her as more of a grandmotherly figure. She was arcane in a way that the people believed her to be. Feared yet respected for her peeks into the unknowns. Seen as an oracle for her premonitions and mysterious ways with the lands flora unlocking potentials. But after Volo and Mystic failed atop the temple of sinnoh. Cogita probably knew ahead of time....so she shunned Volo giving him a icy distance. Over time she warmed back up to volo but kept him at a cautious hand. She is exhausted though from the previous events so she lets Volo and Mystic use her property as a safe haven as long as they helped around with chores. Sadly as the Celestica people disappeared Cogita was forgotten as the powerful woman she was. But Volo never forgot her nature and still saw her how she was seen previously. She is a Romantic poet at heart. Mystic loved her to bits even though their ways of showing said were a bit eccentric. She worried a bit for Mystic because they were unaware (yet)nof the radical ideas that volo had and was suspicious about Volos...motives for romancing for the creature. Maybe the new relationship will keep him distracted so she can have her peace. Mystic screeched though when volo was at work. So she had Mystic accompany Volo on his merchant duties.

ALSO EXPLANATION FOR CYNTHIA EXISTENCE:VOLO SAYS ITS BECAUSE CELESTICA PEOPLE AND DESCENDANTS TEND TO HAVE LONGER LIFESPANS AND COGITA HAD ALOT OF LOVERS WHEN HE WAS GROWING UP MAYBE SAID CHILDREN OF COGITAS LOVERS HAD A CHILD AND THEN ON AND ON UNTIL CYNTHIA
