Unusual Art Outlets
Unusual Art Outlets
So my fellow journalist for Eugor.com decided to write an article about a water color styled outlet for painting using coffee as the paint. This gave me an idea, what other oddities have artist used as their artistic outlet. So I did a little research and discovered that a large number of artists have attempted to make themselves known by doing this in a similar fashion. I have discussed with my audience of readers about the usage of Taxidermy in the art world. This is one of the many prime examples that have been done. However my goal is to give you a fresh perspective of the outlets being used in our day and age.
Feather Snake
Melting bird
This first one I am about to discuss involves a similar format to Taxidermy art. The difference is that the art style does not use the whole creature, just the feathers. This art style is referred to as feather art and in my personal opinion this is a very cool and interesting outlet for art. This is because feathers come in a number of shapes, sizes, and color patterns. Because of this it opens up a number of artistic visions that can be express during the process of creation. Take a look at the image above, you can see that the feathers have been put together evenly so that they look as if they were born to exist on their current location. It is shaped with what looks to be wire bracing so that there is something for the feathers to be held together by. However there are other ways to do this, if you look at the image directly beneath that one, you can see that photography plays a big part in this art form. It looks as if the artist was attempting to make the image of a bird melting in place.
But while we are on topic of animal remains and the usage of art. I would like to introduce a vendor that exists on Eugor.com that created a store titled “Dead Box“. The reason why I am bringing this up is because the vendor hand crafted a clock made with a clock casing, and a few pieces of animal remains. This takes the concept of Taxidermy art and applies it to the technological form. This fact makes it the piece very unique in it’s field, mainly because there has not been anything found on the internet in my research that can compared to it.
But dead animals and pieces of animal parts are not the only things you can use to be unique in the art world. You can use things such as match sticks and colored pencils as sculpting materials. It has been done and I will show you examples, one is above and as you can see, the artist looks to have glued a number of colored pencils together so that you can see a cactus standing where a pile of colored pencils were placed. The beautiful thing about using this outlet, is that because they are in fact “Colored Pencils”, it leaves room for different colored additions at any point in time. The image above shows that the artist used the end of the pencils more so then the designated colored portion. It’s the tips of the pencils that seem to give each portion a pit of a colored hugh while maintaining the bland light brown finish. This next one (can be seen below) is a series of two images. One is the product before it was set on fire and as you can see the image is set up to look as if it is a U.S. Dollar sign. But the image below shows that you can do more then sculpt in this project, you can also bring photography in on this as well. By burning the matches you can see what the artist was trying to portray a little bit more personally. It symbolizes how money corrupts the world and he does this by simply igniting the matches and then photographing the sculpture as it is burning. Outlets are everywhere and it is up to us to discover this outlet.
