Chapter 2: Gifts of Silk

Something brushes across your back, and you startle, stumbling forward to create distance. You don’t make it far. A firm hand snags your shoulder, spinning you like a top. It raises your arm above your head, then pushes it to your chest, until you’re caged by your own hands.

Cool metal presses into your back, and you strain your neck, trying to catch a glimpse of your visitor. You know who it is. You always know who it is. Your heart beats in your throat and you can feel the low hum of machinery behind you.

“You’ve gotten jumpier since I last saw you, pet.”

Probably no Feathered Trysts update this week. They stole my wisdom teeth this morning and I am on lots of drugs and cannot feel anything in my face. Chapter 3 is written i just need to edit it, but I will probably be sleeping for 5 days straight while weeping in pain. So yes
