I have been working on designs for the rewrite and decided to start with Feathers.
I like feathers, but wanted to lean into more chameleon like features and actual feathers; so I added a feather crest on her head as well and horns on the nose resembling that of a three horned chameleon.
Featherhides are Mystery class dragons with their abilities ranging from going invisible to mimicking sounds similar to a parrot. They are arboreal dragons, living in lush jungles where that spend most of their lives climbing with their strong wings in the treetops. They are omnivorous, and their diet consists of fruits containing high sugar, as well as birds or smaller dragons.
In the rewrite, Tom and the others ( who have all met their dragons already; the order of them finding the dragons is
Tom, D'Angelo, Jun, Alex, Eugene.
Suspect that a dragon has made its way into Icarus, based on what they're hearing from the other people, who think it's just some raccoons. While the gangs try locating the dragon without looking too suspicious, Alex keeps getting the feeling she's being followed, and one night stumbles into her kitchen after being awoken by loud noises, only to discover a real dragon devouring all of the food from the fridge, specifically the cookies her mom made her.
Alex is reasonably frightened, and runs to her room, the plot from here continues like Canon, with Tom coming in to comfort her and etc. Alex ends up befriending the dragon, and naming her Azúcar, after the dragon's love for sweets.
