they don’t have them in puerto rico, either, or in israel. baths are really popular in america for some reason, though i don’t know anyone who uses theirs.

thank you for everything you added to my post! i honestly thought it was just going to be ignored, so it was a rant. it's one of my favorite books, too, and its treatment just from the language in the trailer alone is making me angry. there aren't many shows/books centering around israel, so i was really excited, but not anymore. and the set doesn't even look like masada!

The language in the trailer is just AWFUL.

"FIGHT FOR FREEDOM!"

I think the book did a good job of portraying how absolutely extreme and awful the Sicarii were, but the miniseries is almost certainly going to sugarcoat them as Good Noble Heroes (TM). 

Also, I can’t believe they cut Revka! Yoav is meaningless without Revka in my reading of the text; Yoav spirals into self-destruction which ultimately consumed nearly the entire community while Revka is life and survival and recovery and symbolically, the mother of the Jewish people in the diaspora. But they’re almost certainly going to change it so that he’s just one side of a love triangle for Aziza to choose between him and Amram.
