Lucas headed into Joe’s to grab dinner and a beer before heading home. Elena was still finishing some things up, and he still wasn’t exactly comfortable heading back to her apartment without her. He spotted Lachlan at the bar already and took a seat on the barstool next to him. “Hey man. How’s it going?” he asked.

AJ grumbled as he made his way to the Chief of Surgery’s office. It was never good to be paged there. Ever. He was typically only called there for a lecture, and he wasn’t interested in that today. He hadn’t slept with anyone lately, and he hadn’t been operating, so what could he have possibly done? He had no idea. AJ knocked softly on the door before popping his head in. “You paged Chief?”

“Hey you!” Lucas called out when he spotted the Chief of Surgery standing on the other side of the nurses station. He had just come out of Elena’s room, but he had hoped to run into Lachlan or Charlotte since the news of the plane going down had hit. “I’ve got questions, and I hope you have answers,” Lucas growled as he closed the space between himself and his boss.
