I remember when I wished upon a star

Dreaming of a life that was so far

You asked me what I had asked the star to bring

I laughed and said no for it was a superstitious thing

It wasn't till spring that I thought my wish came true

But it really brought false truth that left me so blue

It's clear now that timing is oh so divinely led

And if that wish is not yet dead

If it got lost from a false start

And can still be made into a work of art

Do know I'm not too far

All you need to do is wish on a star
