Stop clenching your jaw
I think to myself
For what is probably the hundredth time today
Trying to process
What the cause is
Seems it’s been stuck for weeks
Is it repeated dream meetings
Or the stress of the week?
Is it motherhood-
Or global strife-
Heartache or lack of sleep?
Stop clenching your jaw
let it go
release.
Grappling-
Trying-
to source this grief
I have so much love for you that flowers bloom when I speak of your name.

dear february, I want to be friends, but you’re just another word for gray, cold disappointment. I can’t help wondering if you can be more so I’m asking you show me your little golden moments I want to drink tea, walk slowly, wake up to sunshine Show me your best. I’m waiting.
sincerely,
ana
I think I will always find you hidden in my "what ifs" and "should haves.

And if someone asks me what is the greatest thing about being alive, I'll smile and tell them about you.

We all have a certain story that we do not share out loud because we are afraid that nostalgia will come in series of waves and drown us. We all know a certain name that we rarely mention anymore because it leaves a bitter taste in our tongue yet makes our heart skips a beat. We all know a familiar voice that is slowly fleeting into oblivion but we always hear it when their favorite song plays on the radio. Lastly, we all know a familiar face that we desperately hoped we will see every morning when we wake up but is now a part of the group of faces that we once knew and trying to forget. Although it is hard and painful for me to admit, mine happens to be you.

Even the stars know this: I will still love you, dearly, even if you are in the arms of another.
