Putting a new warp on the loom and my cat Ash is "helping" by batting around my carefully organized heddles because they're metal and the make fun rattling sounds when they move.

But! I finally got them all tied onto the back bar at like 2am, so now I just need to wind on the warp, which my large and nefarious son is not interested in "helping" me with thankfully. Hopefully I will remember to take some pictures this time!

I don't know how many people have this problem, or if this is just a me thing, but I feel like after I stopped regularly posting on forums in the late 2010s and everything moved to discord I've lost my writing voice.

It's not like I can't write anymore. Writing in-character still comes pretty naturally, and I can still write in the formal-passive-scientific paper voice on demand. But my writing voice? It feels wrong now, like I'm pretending to be a person with things to say, even though I actually have thing I want to say again.

I know it's a practice issue, that my writing voice will come back with time, but it doesn't feel like that, y'know?

So. I will attempt to write on post a day and see how things go from here.

Preview to an anomalous shrimp's decent into Fiber Craft Hell

I put off making a tumblr for almost a decade because I thought I didn't have anything worth contributing. Then I realized that was kind of silly and tumblr might enjoy my trek through the 9 circles of fiber craft hell. Although it'll be more like a classic D&D party raiding hell on a quest for xp and interesting knickknacks than Dante's Inferno. This pinned post will be updated and/or replaced as needed.
