Because he does. Thinking about Cellbit reaffirming again and again that Jaiden has his trust no matter what when so many people were ready to turn away from her. Thinking about Jaiden showing Cellbit the Bobby fields, granting him forgiveness and trusting him above almost everyone else on the island even after everything he did.
Thinking about how both of them would do anything for their loved ones and they know it. Thinking about how loud Cellbit is about the love and respect he has for the people in his life. He loves people so loudly and unabashedly, while Jaiden loves people so quietly and fiercely. Thinking about Cellbit always uplifting Jaiden and telling her how needed and appreciated she is, and that being exactly what she needs because she can't quite bring herself to believe it. Jaiden constantly feeling like she's intruding, like she's a stranger, like she's inferior, and Cellbit constantly telling her how smart she is, how much everyone loves and misses her.
