Dicalcium Phosphate posts firmer weekly shift
Dicalcium Phosphate prices moved higher this week, breaking a period of unusually quiet trading seen earlier in December. The latest assessment on December 19 placed the product at Rs 46/kg, up Rs 3/kg week on week. This marked the first clear directional move in several weeks, wDith Indian Dicalcium Phosphate prices lifting off the recent base near Rs 43/kg.
The fortnight comparison confirms the improvement, with prices Rs 3/kg higher than December 5. Even so, the month-on-month picture remains weaker, as prices are still Rs 5/kg lower than mid-November levels near Rs 51/kg. This contrast keeps the overall tone mixed, with short-term recovery set against a softer monthly backdrop. Dicalcium Phosphate prices in India have therefore improved recently but remain well below the highs seen earlier in the year. Looking further back, the three-month comparison shows prices Rs 3/kg below late-September levels. The six-month view is firmer, with prices Rs 6/kg higher than June benchmarks. Year on year, however, the marker is Rs 10/kg lower than December last year. Recent sessions were less static than before, as the trading range widened during the week from Rs 43/kg to Rs 46/kg.
