@damienjelaine 🎨 '2020: The Harsh Way' "A civilization which leaves so large a number of its participants unsatisfied and drives them into revolt neither has nor deserves the prospect of a lasting existence.", that bitch Sigmund once said. Or as Nature would put lately, "Fuck y'all.", while piercing through us in order to reverse its dying state. But although it will rightfully ease the current war on nature, this same crisis will also unleash every aspect of cornered human nature. The months to come are gonna get ugly, but as a united and common force, we can rise above the ruins. Because we got "us". Because for the first time of the lives of many of us, the foundations of western society are cracked to the core. The opportunity of a lifetime. In 1977, a 24h New York blackout lead to a significant cultural revolution, proving that, strategized accordingly, even the darkest times can help the forgotten ones to seize their power back. So remain safe, take care of your people, read, practice, educate, get rid of your docile self, and gear up for the next chapter, cause if we play it smart, it could be reboot time. It's been about a year since I last found myself at the foot of the West Slabs, this time seeking clarity and freedom from the ropes that bind and hold me back. I pack light and move fast with only these few things in hopes that I will gain insight into myself and overcome my fears. I do this for myself and in memory of Kyle Dempster whose memorial is being held this afternoon. Farewell and enjoy your next adventure! #freesolo #rockclimbing #climbing #freedom #hope #feedtherevolution #neverstopexploring (at Mount Olympus, Salt Lake City, Utah)
