Mankind have always been fascinated by motion. The tourbillon mechanism was invented in 1801 aiming for better chronometric results. On the wrist however, it is useless, but the love for motion gave the tourbillon a powerful aesthetic allure. Since then, dual axis-tourbillons have been implemented, followed by three-axis ones. That is, have you ever seen nine axes at once? Three times three-axis Deep Space Tourbillons = Deep Space Nine 😂😂 I don’t often have one Deep Space Tourbillon at my workshop, but today I’m lucky to have three DIFFERENT versions of the DST at the same time (well, not exactly since they are unsynchronized haha 😝). On the left: the first version straight from the prototype. On the right: the second iteration with blued titanium elements ,which was the one I initially wanted. Obviously this second version is not eternal because my vision is constantly evolving. On top: a piece unique with black elements. These bespoke pieces can be considered as a third iteration of the watch. The Deep Space as I like to dream it – singular and shapeshifting. These three are part of the 26 earthly incarnations since their arrival in 2013. Enjoy this DS9 timelapse and have fun spotting the differences 👉🖖🖖 #3axistourbillon #deepspacetourbillon #deepspacenine #feelgiddy #watchmaker #watchnerd #ahci #vianneyhalter #hellofromspace #watchmaking #tourbillon #watches ・・・ #Repost @vianney_halter_official with @get_repost https://www.instagram.com/p/BnsKzU7F03b/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=17sqnbg2vcclc
