Say hello to my current DnD char: Karra — a kenku fighter who is also a watchmaker :)
The Writer: A 250-Year-Old Mechanical Marvel by Pierre Jaquet-Droz
The automaton "The Writer," created by watchmaker Pierre Jaquet-Droz (1721-1790) in the 1750s, is a mechanical marvel. Jaquet-Droz, known for his watchmaking skills, built this automaton along with two others to showcase his expertise. Comprising 6,000 parts, this 250-year-old machine uses a stack of 40 cams with three shaped edges to translate the movements of the boy's arm. "The Writer" can inscribe any custom text up to 40 letters long, spread over 4 lines. In 1906, it was purchased for 75,000 gold francs (a colossal sum at the time) by the History and Archaeology Society of Neuchâtel.
“The one thing I look forward to? Growing up, of course!”
After finishing the Penacony story I sketched this because Misha made me very sad lol. It wasn’t until recently that I decided to give it a shot again and finish it. I made this trying to get used to the brushes in CSP, I’ve had the program for so long I thought it was about time I learned how to use it, so this was the result of playing around.
Disclaimer: The pictures inside the bubbles are screenshots from the game from Misha’s backstory, I drew everything else

“I wanted to ask if you were hiring - I saw your sign outside, you need jeweler?” His voice was thick with an eastern European accent that curled Shane's toes. He forced himself to meet the man's eyes and smiled.
“Yes! Yes, um. Yes. We are. I am. Hiring a jeweler. Do you have any credentials?”
Shane Hollander is running the family jewelry store after a career-ending injury and desperately needs a jeweler to take some of the load off his shoulders.
Ilya Rozanov is a jeweler looking for work, and he wants to take more than just that load from Shane.
Any watchmakers or people who know watches know anything about these watches, I tried looking them up but found nothing.
