an issue i’ve dealt with for a long time is lacking a sense of belonging. both in terms of like.. where i live and just the company i’m in, i feel out of place A LOT. and this week i’ve been thinking about it a lot because of my job i think. we’re a small business, the whole company is only 11 people, so any turnover has an actual impact and there’s a lot of room for growth. i’m the youngest by i think at least 3 years and so like my life is more unstable than everyone else’s in a way? and i just have been trying to figure out what kind of life i want to start building for myself and how long i want to stay in my current position. and today/wednesday i made some realizations about myself and my coworkers and how i fit in there that sort of made me doubt any longevity there in a way? maybe less than i originally planned. i mean, i like everyone and the environment is like... really great. but i still don’t feel like i’m around people who are like me??? i don’t know. it’s hard to explain. there seems to be a lot of fundamental differences and i can definitely cope with them, and they probably should prompt me to aim for personal growth since they aren’t necessarily negative differences? but right now it just seems a little jarring. and why am i so quick to want to bail from this situation already, when nothing has happened to make that necessary in any way??? STOP LOOKING FOR PROBLEMS KATHERINE THINGS AREN’T ALWAYS A BIG DEAL OMG.

and i’ve also been thinking about figuring out dual citizenship and moving to england like next year or something. which is probably ridiculous. but i hate where i live and i don’t want to settle here and i need to work out where i want to be and that’s really it. i want to travel more within the US and see if there’s somewhere else i could end up that wouldn’t be as drastic of a move, because realistically an international one is probably not reasonable at this point in my life. but that’s time and money too. and i can’t just keep taking vacations to find a new homebase or whatever like that doesn’t make sense. or does it?? what do i know. 

i just feel uncomfortable??? and unsettled a lot and i’m ready to make it so that i don’t.

i always get so upset, if you have a negative memory surrounding kisses you are OF COURSE allowed to discount them. you are in control of yourself, especially in your context no one can take that away from you.

if you dont want that kiss to have meaning don't give it that, say you're saving your ACTUAL first kiss for a foot poppin' cutie patootie and if anyone tries to say "But you already..." i'll fuck their shit up
