your whole boyfriend situation.. why don't you talk to the director or whoever is in charge and let them know what's going on so they could lie and tell him rehearsal is cancelled; he won't feel as bad for missing it.

See, that's the thing--he's talking to the director himself tonight. :< Being that it's the last rehearsal before the show, I don't think I could get him behind it--I've never met the guy, but he takes his job very seriously and I doubt he'd excuse him for this. If he tells J (boyfriend) no tonight, then I might try talking with him tomorrow between classes, but I'm not sure I can change his mind. Then again, he only knows what J is telling him...which isn't the actual story, so who knows. Thanks for the advice! :D
