Ku Fei She Who Trains to Fight with Her Fists
Translation Notes:
Gu Fei is simply the Chinese name Ku Fei Latinized. Exercens is the present active participle of the verb exercere, "to train." It can be used substantively (as it is here in Ku Fei's case), to mean "one who trains." Pugilatum is the accusative supine of the verb pugilare, "to fight with the fists." This form of a Latin verb is used with verbs of motion (such as exercere) to indicate purpose: "to fight with the fists."
