The worst thing is that Kyoutani had to hear from someone ELSE because you had already gone to the nurse’s office by then
Rushes to the nurse’s office and when he walks in he just glares at you like >:((
His mind is like ‘how could you hurt my favourite person’ but then again YOU’RE his favourite person so he doesn’t really know what to think here
DEFINITELY gives you a little lecture on how you need to not be so careless
Accidentally starts acting like your butler for the next few days -- you tell him that you can still do daily tasks with the sprained ankle but he refuses to listen and tries to do everything for you
Semi:
Semi is big big sad he gets big big BIG sad
He was literally THERE when it happened -- he was watching your practice match (this cutie shows up to every one of your practice matches to cheer you on) and he literally saw with his own two eyes the moment that ball hit your pinky at a bad ankle and dislocated it
Suddenly he’s the fastest runner in the world running to the court to see your injury
And let me tell you that injury HURT,, you were trying to not cry but Semi could still see the pain :((
He brings you to the nurse’s office (he wouldn’t let anyone else do it) and literally doesn’t blink as the nurse patches you up
Listens VERY closely to the nurse’s instructions on how to take care of your finger and he makes sure you treat that injury with the upmost care
Holds everything for you for the next 2 weeks regardless of how light the object is
Kuroo:
Panic mode Kuroo
He’s seen injuries before, but not one like yours and he just kind of freezes because he has NO idea what to do
Let me set the scene: Boys vball club and girls vball club having a practice game and as you run to receive the ball you bump into a teammate at a bad angle and end up dislocating your shoulder :((
Everyone’s running to you checking if you’re okay but Kuroo is still standing there trying to comprehend everything that’s happened
As it hits him he’s freaking out and running to you
Pushes everyone out of his way to get to you
He sees you holding your shoulder and he just falls into a deeper panic because he’s realized that you’re badly injured
Probably has to bring you to the nurse’s office with someone because he’s so caught up in his thoughts that he forgot where the nurse’s office even was
Turns out you need to go to the hospital to get a cast and Kuroo is literally following you around everywhere at this point at every single check up, every single appointment because he just wants nothing more but for you to get better as soon as possible
Ushijima:
Suddenly this man becomes a doctor ajsdhfkjhdsf LET ME EXPLAIN
You’re training on your own after practice and after your solo session you go to lean up everything in the storage room but the pole for the net FALLS RIGHT ON YOUR HEAD
Ushijima’s walking into the gym at this point to pick you up and walk you home but then he hears the pole hit the ground and he KNOWS there’s something wrong
He sees you on the ground holding your head and this dude’s heart is literally split into two :((
The calmest of out of everyone here though, because he’s trying his best to put emotions aside and tend to your needs
Asks you a bunch of questions like ‘what’s you’re name, what’s my name, where are you right now’ to check if you have a concussion or not
Urges you to go see the doctors the next day and comes along with you
But before the appointment this dude is educating you on symptoms of a concussion, how to treat it, all those facts that make you question how he even knows all this
Turns out you don’t have a concussion !! All is good in the world but your head do be a bit bruised,, nothing a little painkillers can’t fix
After this incident Ushijima starts to educate you on sports injuries A LOT more often incase something like this happens again next time and he’s not around to help you

Lowkey headcanon that although Ushijima is a very reserved and stoic person, he always ends up hanging out with extroverts AND no one knows how this happens
Literally right after he met you for the first time he’d already made the connection that your personality was similar to Tendou’s and he’d probably already feel very comfortable with you since you remind him of his best friend
A lot of the times you’d wonder if he’s even listening to you because he is very big on just listening (like not giving advice till the VERY VERY end of the conversation) but don’t worry he’s all ears constantly
At first glance people are like ‘does Ushijima really even like his s/o??’ only because of how unbalanced your dynamic seems
But they don’t see at the soft words you two exchange when alone or how thankful he is for you everyday
DEFINITELY introduces you to Tendou and at this point he’s just standing there watching you and Tendou the entire time
There is just so much energy whenever you hang out with Tendou that although Ushijima isn’t doing much even he still gets tired after a while
Also the fact that you’re more talkative than him just means that you’ll be doing all the talking whenever you two are out and honestly he really appreciates that because he’s just someone that would prefer to watch and listen
Please always tell him about your day and don’t leave out a single detail
The only time I’d imagine that he’d be more talkative/extroverted than you is when you’re upset and that would be because he’s out looking for whoever made you upset and giving him a piece of his mind

Summary: You who up on Ushijima’s doorstep after a particularly rough evening.
The atmosphere is quiet in Ushijima’s room. Nothing but the faint sounds of flipping pages as he continues to read the Shonen Jump Tendou lent him that week. It was a particularly calm evening, Friday night right after some tough volleyball practice with the club. As the soft sounds of the rain hit his windows, the ace was the most at ease he’s been this entire week, his mind almost clear of thoughts.
Almost.
But some habits were harder to break than becoming one of the top three aces in the entire country. That being said, Wakatoshi was undoubtedly entranced by you, and had been for a while. Despite how painfully obvious it was to his teammates and even your own friends, you just never caught on.
He’s just a friend, you would always say, there’s nothing going on between us.
Taking a big sigh, he tries to push the thoughts of you out of his mind and direct his attention back to the pages. About a paragraph in, his doorbell rings.
Settling the Shonen Jump down, Ushijima makes his way to the front door. He expected the old lady next door coming by to have him fix her bike again, but was taken by surprise when you showed up at his doorstep.
Clothes absolutely drenched by the rain, you lift your head to reveal your tear stained face. To anyone else, it would have just seemed like your face was drenched by the rainwater, but Ushijima’s not just anyone.
“It’s pouring rain why are you here?” Maybe that sounded a bit too harsh, he thinks to himself right after.
“Toshi,” you weakly call out to him, “I got dumped.”
Wakatoshi’s body stiffens. Did he just hear that right? Someone actually had the audacity to dump you? He’d already forgotten your partner's name not even a day after you revealed that you were in a relationship. It definitely hurt watching you fall head over heels for someone that wasn’t him, but if that was what made you happy, he was willing to just sit back and let you be.
Not taking his eyes off you, you sniffle and mumble out, “Can I stay here tonight?”
He nods.
“I just don’t think I can spend the night alone.”
“I understand,” he tries his best to empathize.
After taking a quick bath and getting dressed in some clothes Ushijima lent you, you return back to his room to watch a movie. You’d told him you didn’t want to talk about it just yet, to which he respectfully gave you your space and asked if watching a movie with him might help.
“Do you want some ice cream?” He turns his head to you standing by the doorframe, “I have your favorite flavor.”
“Sure,” you accept, stepping further into his room and sitting down on the bed. Unbeknownst to you, Ushijima has only bought your favorite flavor of ice cream after that day you shared this information with him. He didn’t even have much opinion about it, but the brief moments of you that enter his mind every time he eats it was enough to get him hooked.
He soon returned with the ice cream, two tints of it.
“This seems a lot,” you chuckle at him.
“They were on sale,” he lies. He just heard it was on low stock at the supermarket he usually goes to and bought too many out of panic.
The entire movie you’d been particularly quiet and it was pretty clear what was on your mind. Wakatoshi didn’t say anything though, the last thing he wanted to do was to make it feel like he was prying into your business. When you decide it was time to tell him what happened, you would. As the credits begin playing, he feels you rest your head on his left shoulder.
Turning to see what happened, he’s greeted with your sleeping face and soft breathing. God, he could just stare at you forever like this. Everything about you was perfect to him. There was nothing in this world that could catch his attention as quickly as you did.
Realizing that he’s probably been staring at you for too long, he gently sets you down on his beds and puts a blanket over you. He’ll just sleep on the couch tonight, Wakatoshi decides, you’ve already been through so much today.
Closing his bedroom door, the olive haired boy looks at you one last time. Maybe one day you’ll see how much he likes you. Either way, Ushijima’s going to always be there for you.
