❝ I think the elevator is broken... ❞
feistydetective:
For someone who kept himself covered up most of the time and who seemed to be the friendlier of the twins, Mark was surprisingly strong. Max could handle pain and the occasional rough situations, but as Mark’s hands tightened around her wrists she could already feel the bruises forming on her skin. Giving out a sound akin to a whimper, the brunette tugged lightly against Mark’s grasp, “Nh, don’t be so rough.”
Mark had been pulling her away, making a show in case anyone was watching. It'd been weeks since he'd seen Max. He'd forgotten how lovely she looked on the job. He dragged her around a corner, far out of sight and mind. But as soon as he heard her whimper and her complaint, he turned, looking at her with pure concern and releasing her wrists. "Oh, I'm... I'm sorry. I wanted to make it look real, I... I'm sorry Max." He took her wrists in his hands again, carefully and gently, and looked them over for bruises. He grinned up at her nervously. "I've missed you, you know." He hesitantly leans in, kissing her gently as his thumb brushed over her pulse. He'd wanted to do that for a while. He hoped it was okay he finally caved. He really did miss the detective.

It was with innate gladness that Mike found out the Greek restaurant was still alive and well when he checked it out. It wasn't too formal of a place, but he had one of his nicer shirts and dark jeans on instead of the normal blue jeans and t-shirts. He had said seven, but he had arrived early to get seating and try and settle.
Mike hadn't dated in a couple of years, since his last girlfriend. His last relationship had broken badly after a wrong move on his part. If Troy had been around to hear the story, he would have smacked him for being an idiot. Now without the normal presence of Troy or his brother, he was a little anxious on how this would turn out.
Now, the person he had asked out walked in the door and he stood up to greet her. His smile was wide as he internally debated on whether or not to pull out the chair. “Nice to see you, Max.”
