Not A Prediction, But A Wish

She may be best known for making predictions, Feizhi of Xian can still make a wish! Even if she can see that it may not come to pass in the future, sometimes you need to make a golden ring for your crush and see what happens. After that, it's in the hands of Isaac.

Feizhi (Golden Sun)

It was such a nice surprise to see her in Golden Sun - The Lost Age again (only if you used the save file from the first game after the playthrough for the data transfer) and especially how she revealed her feelings for Isaac. I enjoyed every single bonus since they revealed some more facets and background stories of the characters!

In retrospective I considered this data transfer feature quite innovative. It was like playing a director's cut version of the sequel. The password was way too long though. Entering it correctly was always a challenge...! All in all those two games were a great gaming experience and created a lot of beautiful memories which I will always store in my heart!

Part 1 of my Golden Sun Memories project: Lovesick Feizhi and some drafts of upcoming fanarts. After listening to the remastered soundtrack by coaltergeist on YT my notalgic muse wants me to create pics of several memoriable scenes in the game. It was my first RPG and one of my most important inspirations for my manga. Actually the more I think about it, the more I realize how much these games had shaped my personality and love for such kind of games. Shariya, one of my OCs is obviously inspired by Sheba, one of the protagonists of Golden Sun - The Lost Age. Man, I could talk about the games forever... Well, there will be enough opportunities, although I don’t know how far I can go with this project since the preparation for my bachelor and the game projects for this semester are giving me a rough time. Although my urge for creating this tributes is currently stronger than anything else so I hope it’ll work out somehow... (also Sequel #4, when?!?!)

See, I don’t actually have much to complain about in these games, and this is not even like a huge issue or anything, but it would actually be super easy to redo this and reframe it as “You remind me of Isaac” in general terms, in reference to how noble and helpful they both are, instead of somehow mistaking Felix for Isaac despite them looking nothing alike, as a reference to the first game.

My character for Golden Sun that I created two years ago as Feizhi’s daughter. I decided on her name being Meifeng (meaning “beautiful wind”, because she’s a jupiter adept, get it? ehh? ehhhhhhhh? e v e) she’s fallen off a cliff but doesn’t care because she’s gonna lose her map oh no! :0  I’m on the lookout for other Golden Sun adept OCs to draw with her! I would appreciate if some could be thrown my way wink wink
