Felicity Krueger - Aesthetic
Felicity Krueger {Birthday Drabble}
Felicity woke up early so she could sneak out with out her father noticing. This was something she did regularity, because if she got caught, it was a grounding of biblical proportions. She managed to get out without a sound. Then she took off running. Felicity wanted to get to her job at the bakery as soon as possible. She made it to the bakery with two minutes to spare. Felicity quickly entered through the back door and hurried into the kitchen. She set her stuff in the break room, she grabbed her apron, quickly put it on and made her way to the front of the store where her boss was. He smiled once he spotted her joining him.
"Right on time, Felicity. You never disappoint." he said with a chuckle.
She smiled and laughed. "You know me, always eager to help."
He laughs to. "Ain't that the truth." He dusts off his apron as one of the other employees turns the sign for closed to open. The employee walks back behind the counter and into the kitchen. "Felicity, your running the counter today."
She gave her boss a thumbs up. "You got it." she replied as he entered the kitchen.
The day ran smoothly. Customers came ordered whatever they wanted, paid and left. Some stayed and had a drink with their cookie, cake, piece pie, tarts, or doughnut. She enjoyed her job, making people smile and feel good, even on her birthday. A couple hours later she turned the sign to closed, so she and the others could have their lunch break. She stretched and sighed contently. Felicity walked back in to the kitchen and headed for the break room. She didn't see or hear anyone on her way to the break room.
"Guys? Is anyone here? Where are you guys?"
When she walked in to the break room, it was dark. A confused look covered her face as she flicked the light back on. When she did, her boss and co workers were in there, holding a cake.
"Surprise! Happy birthday!" they said in unison.
Felicity jumped slightly, laughing with a smile on her face. They did this every time it was her birthday. They let the candles for her to blow out. And she did, making her wish at the same time. They cheered, set the cake down on the table and gave her a big hug before cutting into the cake. They each got a piece of cake. It was strawberry, Felicity's favorite. They sat and talked and laughed for a long while. Eventually they had to reopen the store. It was business as usual once again. And when the store closed, Felicity headed home, sneaking back into her room. She didn't expect a present, or even a "happy birthday" for her father. He usually just ignored her, unless her presence was needed. She walked into her room, locked the door and got ready for bed. She crawled into her bed with a smile, before her eyes slid closed and she fell asleep.
