Charlotte was truly thankful that her best friend had agreed to pay her a visit; she knew it was an awfully busy time for everyone around town and she knew Fliss always had a handful of things to handle, and the fact she made the time for her was truly heart warming. She felt like such a whiner, people here lost their homes and she was sad over the wreckage of her family’s book shop while her house was completely intact, but it was her safe place, her second home, and she was upset about it being damaged. Both her mother and grandmother were out as she heard a knock on the door, opening it to find her pseudo-sister, “Hey.” She smiled at her faintly.
