LOOK WHO SHOWED UP TO RUIN EVERYTHING. AGAIN.
I'd like to request for a semi-hiatus for Blake Belladonna from RWBY. Today's date is 04/02. Thanks!
Whoops, missed this one. Noted!

Adam, like most other city residents outside of the Golden Ward, was quickly made aware of the newest problem to plague the city via word of mouth and news coverage. An entire portion of the city was now subjected to play a twisted game against their own volition, and all for but the mere amusement of some unknown entity... And yet, what does the city do in response? Are the citizens in a panic? Are people trying to coordinate any sort of effort to help the people trapped in the game?
Of course not.
The grand majority of people simply go about their daily lives like normal, albeit with an underlying tension that none are willing to address. A “deity” of sorts has made an entire Ward its playground, and most want nothing more than to remain unnoticed. At the very least, some people who have close friends or family in the Golden Ward are willing to get involved in some fashion or form, even willing to step into the creature’s playground if it meant helping their loved ones.
Adam Taurus has no such desire, however. There isn’t a single resident in Golden that he felt compelled to protect, no reason for him to even get remotely involved in the whole debacle. That isn’t to say that he’s not frustrated over the matter; knowing that events like this could happen on a whim to those powerless to fight it... it wasn’t a truth that could be accepted so simply. And yet despite the utter lack of desire to become involved...
The bull faunus has his phone in hand, the screen displaying a certain contact with his gloved thumb over the dial button. He hesitates as he looks at the name, a part of him baffled that he’s even this close to making the call. There’s a high chance the woman in question won’t even answer him, for reasons far beyond the danger going on around her in Golden Ward.
However, he finally taps the screen before bringing the phone up to his ear, listening to the robotic ring as he waits for a response. All odds point to the call being ignored... yet he still makes the effort, for reasons even he isn’t completely sure of. Was there, perhaps, a shred of concern for the fellow faunus despite all that’s happened? Or maybe the sheer, utter contempt that still lingered on in him wants to bask in her danger...
The answer might become clear if Blake Belladonna decides to take the call.
( @felinesse, you have an incoming call! )
❝ I fell for your lies, you hurt me, all the time. ❞
HEART ACHE SENTENCE PROMPTS
“… All the time?“
How could she say that? How could she imply that everything only amounted to a lie? He didn’t intend to harm her when he became Blake’s mentor; he wanted to help her become stronger so she could fight for her justice. Their justice. It was never his intention to hurt her when their relationship started to become more than just mentor and apprentice. Adam truly thought he had found someone he could trust with his pain, his hope. Even when they disagreed on what the White Fang should stand for and the actions they take, Blake’s safety was still one of his top priorities.
But at some point, she stopped believing in him. She no longer agreed with him on what was best for the Faunus. Adam had hoped she would always be with him on his path to glory. But all of a sudden, when he turned back to look for her… he found nothing. No words, no attempt to talk him down or pull him back towards a better road… Blake ran away like a coward, and Adam was left to wonder what went wrong.
Who truly was the liar? Blake, for making him think he could trust her to always be there for him? Adam, for slowly getting lost in his darkness and changing as a result? Perhaps there was a chance that both had some blame to share… But regardless, the results still speak for themselves. And neither one of them came out on top. Both of them were hurt, and no one was truly a “victor” when it was all said and done.
“Blake… Don’t say that. It wasn’t all a lie. We just… changed. Both of us did.“
