Fennekin, Yveltal, Sylveon, Noivern, Vivillion, Flabebe, and like every Pokemon on the new list that was revealed this month.
Basically: I love all of Gen 6 right now.
Oh I've only recently read somewhere that golurks were shaped from clay (ground type) and our powered by dead ancestors to guard the temples They actually remind me of that legend about how a Jewish man sculpted a clay man which protected him :)
Thanks for bringing this to my attention! From what I’ve now looked up, all golems were made from mud/clay, and the story you mentioned in particular has great similarities to the backstory behind the Golurks. I’m guessing that Game Freak got inspired by that story when making this Pokemon!
isnt that what golurk is???? like it lives in underground temples and is basically a suit of armour which has rockets xD
I always saw the Golurk line more like ancient robots (and of course golems), but you have a point. Golurk’s design has some armor-like qualities, particularly with Roman armor.
omg no fairy type is a really good idea to balance the competitive gaming, too many dragon types were introduced in the past gen and now dragon types hopefully wont be too strong now and over used. I personally feel good about fairy types because Gardovoir is one of my favourite pokemon and now more people will use it competitively :)
Dragon is one of the rarest types. And many are part flying type which gives a double weakness to ice. Furthermore, why fairy type? Many people were speculating over the addition of a light type, which I’m against on principle because I feel that is stupid that nobody in the whole pokemon world realized that there was a whole another type out there (especially considering it’s going to be retroactive). But at least a light type makes sense because light is an element in the world.
