I met Bravo Child (that's his legal name!) 5 years ago, for 5 minutes in Australia.
So when he came to New York I convinced him to drop by the studio. First we went for lunch where this happened:
Bravo (to restauranteur): I don't use money, but I do graphic design, I perform, I have skills. I don't want to barter but will you help me live outside the money system.
Restauranteur: OK sit down, what would you like?
Restauranteur: I am Italian. In Italy, when you are a host and someone politely asks you for a meal and they are hungry but don't have money, you are obliged to serve them a meal. It is an old rule.
I paid for my bill, Bravo got his for free. In fact, we ended up working out how everyone does get paid.
After talking about Bravo's life, dance, girlfriend and many other topics, I proposed that I would mention the story, the amazing pasta and the experience we had to all of my FB people, Bravo would get his meal, I would take pictures, everyone is happy.
We at sumptuously at Pasta Shop Brooklyn, 234 Starr Street in Bushwick (Off the Jefferson stop on the L). Go there, the food is awesome. But without that, to reward the owner for his brilliance.
Then, bellies full, I took some pictures
