Zelda as always couldn’t sleep. She was tired, more so than usual. It’d been too long since she actually slept and it was now causing her to be a bit distracted. She’d already talked to a few of her professors and was still worried about being tired and doing a performance. Zelda was even thinking about having her father put her to sleep it was bad.
She’d already lost interest in listening to the rhythm and dictations of the music she was supposed to be analyzing. Being in front of the fire in the dorms usually helped her study but now it was only a distraction. Even being in her dorm with Alan and their fish was distracting.
Zelda sighed taking her headphones off her head and set them down pausing the music on her laptop. She could do more paper work for HBI change what she was doing. But, calculating cost and time to clean different things or replace them did not seem like it was going to be helpful.
Everything was moving. all of the words jumped out off the page and the letters changed to different letters. Trying to memorize something you couldn’t see wasn’t a good thing. It was painful. If only she was able to sleep then maybe she’d be able to function as usual. “Dad, I need to sleep, I have a performance soon, essays to write and work to do. I’ve tried everything, even going as far to try ocean sounds and Zzzquil. And other Sleep-Aids.” Zelda prayed upward hoping her father was awake and could hear her plea.
Hypnos did not tend to respond the only time he had was when she was younger and he’d given her Havi. Zelda rubbed her forehead and started playing something out of her laptop. The sound quality was horrible but hearing the chaos that was the Beastie Boys “Sabotage” was the best distraction and did allow her to focus on just that.
