I like to think both lillie and alzhe where the ones to go look for and find lupine.
Lillie had an idea where he was and lead alzhe to there,mainly because she needed alzhes skills to do so- and lucky for them the captor wasnt home.
So they broke in and searched around,finding multiple sketchy things(bloody syringes,dirty feathers,scalpels,gloves,ect.) before actually finding lupine, who they untied.
One of them had to carry him Out,due to the fact he was tied down in such a weird way and for so long that he couldnt walk very well.
Lillie called the cops once they got lupine out,having an interveiw with the cops before taking lupine home.
After therapy,lupine realized how much he hated having tight things around his wrists due to the rope he was tied up with.
This restricted him alot because he missed out on so much he woukd wear- however!! Eris always brings him something to wear around his neck,and they are always so soft-
His favorite is a collar with charms that relate to his **friends**
Just think about how much WORSE lupines molting season is compared to corvids

Lupine would fucking D E V O U R anything given to him after he got released for like a month,before he had enough nutrition to stop-
