sure, fighting enemies that could hurtle electricity wasn't anything new, but the key differences were that they generally didn't attack with such great numbers, and Slimes were quite the pushovers. that wasn't counting combat with those monsters was conducted with the intent of taking them down outright — not an objective the current landscape shared.

at this rate, it was only a matter of time before one of those jolts made contact and they learned if being struck might carry the danger of any paralysing effect. with no solid plan coming to mind, Lumine brought a palm against the earth, using her Geo energy to erect a barricade from the rock that erupted. though it was doomed to be a very temporary measure — with those numbers, it wouldn't take long for the Glitched to start climbing over.

worse still, someone else was happening upon the site. someone who could very well wind up in the firing line if they were so unlucky. "don't come closer".

"Tch." Seems one of her supposed-to-be victims just fled... and it was nothing but someone from the contacts specifically, Cynthia. The assassin only wanted is to kill someone and that egg pet of hers.

Kronya just can't get out of her bloodlust.

Really no normal person needed a large scale explanation on the antics of Digital. But considering there was an extreme lack of other umas in the city to "watch in their prime" the young girl had to resort to anyone else. Most notably, a whole lot of humans. Or at least ones that looked like it at least.

"You haven't seen any of them around have you? I could tell you anything you want about them if you have. From how they brush their ears and tail, the races they won, the background of their phones. Everything!"

"Your fit is totes awesome! Like what you got going on would tear up the tags wei high!☆" It didn't seem like a racing outfit to Helios but maybe it was from another school? The way it was reminded her of something Ruby would've maybe had on in their closet for her "esteemed important" places but it very well could've been their usual clothes. Or a cosplay. Was there a convention in town? Was she missing out on all the fun?

Orthus tugged at his leash, but only enough to tell Ivan he had somewhere he wanted to go. He was well behaved, for a two headed alien dog who could absolutely drag Ivan through the swamp, so Ivan followed him.

The large canine salivated as it came to a stop, approaching a short man with white hair. Ivan looked from his place behind the large dog, tilting his head to the side.

"Oh, you found a person. Good Orthus for not biting."

"Sorry, I was walking my dog. I hope he didn't scare you. He tends to like stomping around the swamps."

"I got some ideas from Dar'khol, but I'm thinking of maybe opening up a bar/restaurant." Both of which they had experience with. Indigo side glances at the other and realizes he probably doesn't even know who Dar'khol is!

"Dar'khol is this guy that runs Skullrender! It's a fighting arena. A pretty damn good one, too. I've only been. Never participated in knocking down a few dudes, myself."

The zombies were much faster than Sephiroth had anticipated. The most he had seen were walking at a snail's pace. He had overestimated what they were actually capable of. The distance they covered almost took him off guard as he raised his sword to block their hands from grabbing him.

His heart was pounding and he pushed back, raising his hand as an explosion of fire burst forth. It engulfed the bodies and spread from one to other rapidly.

"Oops." Sephiroth lowered his hand. He watched the zombies run about until he heard footsteps approaching behind him. He turned and raised his sword to the man's neck. "Who are you?"

✂ "Whoa there! What are you sulking about? You look like your house just got destroyed in a trash storm." Did this city experience trash storms? Probably not, but it was too late to consider whether or not the guy had ever heard of them. In a way his sour expression reminded her a little bit of Zanka, so she'd decided to speak up.

It was a little funny when she got on Zanka's nerves after all.

"Maybe something less dramatic. You fall down the stairs then?" Riyo was going to keep following him until she got a reaction.
