so she was someone else who had died here. but... she didn't fall into the Abyss? and the experience seemed not to bother her so much — not enough to hold off picking fights, at any rate. calling it a draw meant she hadn't just died, she'd killed as well — and the ambience emanating from her screamed it not a hunger well-fed.

naturally alarm bells screamed in unison, and Paimon grew rigid as soon as attention fell onto her. ✦huh? w— what's that supposed to mean?✦

the Traveler likewise took up a tensed stance, though hers more defensive so that Paimon would be launched from the woman's line of fire should it ignite. "you'll just have to imagine. what are you after? or are all your conversations with a stranger so morbid?"

Kronya still holding the hilt of Athame as she's itching to butcher this girl and her little friend that she's patting on it. She hoped to add on the kill list over her own death list, prior to the assassin's itchy hand on her blade.

"It's pretty simple, honestly... You, as a corpse since, you're just here." She doesn't care who she targets as long as anyone from the contact list. If one encounters Kronya, that encounter would be the other, dead like everyone else or herself or both, should that one is stronger like those 'slaves' around.

"I hope you don't have powers to stop time~!" Charging through, Athame was drawn and did a quick horizontal slash, aimed to the abdomen.

How could she be familiar with someone she never met, from after her own death? Moreover, how was she standing before him if she was dead? Did this world's strange revival methods work on those dead prior to arrival?

He was right about that. Kronya only mentioned Constance even if never met at her world probably a wild guess, knowing she's deceased. Stars are pretty much like a group of necromancers, toying with the dead by bringing them back, as like given a second chance... an eternal second chance since death is a loop in this place.

she was open about hostility — while Lumine knew not to judge a book by its cover, the sheer bloodlust emanating from the woman screamed there was no miscalculation in suspecting she was bad news. so quickly had the subject of coming to blows and fatality come up that suspect she was a seasoned killer was the first guess as to why that might be.

Either this girl and her companion had a death wish or not, Kronya remained high alert on any death planning just to stop her from doing what desires most. Murder.

Kronya have not killed anyone yet even the time she just returned in Spirale for a long time.

Within a blink the rather wild haired individual practically transformed in front of the doll's eyes. Not literally given how quickly she dozed off while Kronya went off to do whatever she was doing to pull off a stunt like that but enough that it did take a brief moment to realize they were the same person.

"Wow what did you do with my friend?!" She had to take the moment to make her joke of the afternoon quickly as it got substituted with a chuckle before heading off on their way.

"I think you'll realize you don't want just plain once you taste the others. Like a nose dive into a whole new universe of stuff."

She's not against any of it but best to fill some fun in life while malice takes aside, for now. Architect seemed to be surprised even if done privately as normally people would be shocked about seeing someone shapeshift.

Kronya lurking in the shadows once again as she was tired and bored at the same time. Athame in hand, creeps on anyone in her vision.

Only thing in her face is a grin filled with malice. Kronya would believe she can kill a person or make their life miserable by loopholes of death.

She proceeds to slash someone... but will it be a hit or a miss?

"Being a "curious person" is your reason for that?" Insight did inquire with a quirk of her lips. Perhaps this was a case of throwing stones from a glass house, but this girl had a mind that begged to be studied.

After listening to Kronya's explanation, Insight curled a hand below her own chin thoughtfully. "Considering all that you've discovered, and the leader you've lost... what do you seek in this place?"

An assassin who spent her time killing couldn't end anyone's life here for long. In a way that could make for a fascinating forever contract, but Insight suspected most individuals that wanted someone dead didn't want to have to repeat the process more than once.

"Phrased another way, do you find any worth in doing something other than asking interesting people peculiar questions?"

"Hmmm, the only thing i want is to kill anyone. You, are safe and that one person." Literally what Kronya would wanted to do asides from yap. Murder and mayhem. "Tried killing once but stopped by some weirdo, she was beautiful with her egg pet but eh, stopped anyway. Caused disorder on a red-haired girl who was a goody-two shoe, stopped as well." Can't repeat the process of dying here like in some mobile game involves towers, kills, deaths and a win-lose streak.

"There was one at my world that i want to carve my blade onto but stopped again anyway." Yeah, she knows who was she talking about the part Insight asked...

"Maybe just to do mischief, deception and bloodshed. Yeah. Prefer those from the names on the contact list." Such a twisted hobby, Kronya has.

"Maybe you should consider listening, then." He throws his head back with a huff, still staring down his nose at her with a sneer. Her confusing questions did deflate a little of his haughty demeanor. Slave? Slaver? What a weird question to ask!

"Neither, and I'm insulted you would connect me to such barbarism," Rafal scowled, resting his empty hand on his hip. "The gall you would even ask. Your manners need some work."

Since she seemed content to blather odd questions at him at the moment, he didn't make the first move. A nonviolent resolution works just as well. His stone remains visible, however.

Kronya perhaps should just kill him on sight but a word talk sounds not bad and saves a life without being killed again, as she have died once by an exchange. So, he wasn't a slaver, which is how servants called the ones commanding them are masters. Guys with a weird crest on their hand or somewhere and so were a slave, which is a servant that obeys their master but has a mind of their own.

Knowing that he has a stone that transforms him, he'd be a difficult customer to deal with.

"You remind me of that Constance girl of my world, sucks that i haven't met her since i am dead that time. Maybe your attitude were one." She's not mocking him, she just reminded of those strangers Kronya wished to meet... and gut her with it.

"I'll drop the hunt for now. You don't look like you're from Fodlan, where were you came from?" For now she's curious of this guy's whereabouts.

"Hm." She'd almost asked "Is three years really long?" but caught it before it slipped out of her mouth. In some ways, she was aware she had a self-centered perspective, coloring any glass she peered through in ways others didn't perceive.

"I haven't died here, no." Insight tilted her head, attention briefly settling across the street. "I've heard it isn't permanent even without a natural ability to defy death, which is curious. Even in worlds gathering the dead purposefully, reviving a second time has never been a guarantee..."

"I am a curious person, hence i died here once along with the one i killed. Sadly, she's gone for good." Kronya do admit that Byleth was good in their swordplay but one thing that cheats is to reverse time. Memory was still vividly clear as it was settled in a forest. Of course, it was a draw that nobody won and left alive.

Knowing Insight haven't died once, better let it stay that way.

"I do miss that thrill but i could be overwhelmed anyways. I tried killing a 'slave' but it turned worse that i have no choice but to run away." If those 'slaves' which Kronya calls them from the Servants of this place. She met two already in their full power, Kronya would be good as dead if continued without preparations.

"Dying here can be really annoying. Especially when it's repeated." By repeat, people would be killing her all over again whenever she gets back.

"Ah tell me 'bout it. None of the usual fun police is out here to stop me thankfully. Not that I have any real reason to go annoying people unless they bring it to me."

Maybe it was for the best given how annoying it was to make bigger and bigger "spectacle" explosions for those who needed it. Or she was just getting lazier and more content with letting people do whatever the hell she wanted. A combination of both was more likely however...

Of course, it is winter. A fun in Spirale's holiday festive could be fun too... as she did one last time and failed to assassinate a boy but that was a very long ago. To prevent from suspicion or at least reduce it a little... Well, she had to be 'Monica' if ever offered to hang out with Architect.

"Give me a moment..." Kronya walked on the other side, possibly somewhere to morph and she found one... Took a few seconds later, she morphed into 'Monica', as her default and back to Architect.

"Well doesn't matter if it's plain or not..." Appeared as Monica, after.

"Oh heeeeeeeeeeeey! It's you again!" It was doubtful a blade like that could actually kill her instantly without an actual fight going on between the two. But Architect hoped that despite the two of them being exactly who they were something like that wouldn't happen.

"You trying to stab me or something? What haven't killed anyone to get your kick lately? Come on now..."

Kronya didn't have her blood splatter in her place due to numerous people willing to stop her and end her at the same time. Can't have that fuss in her rear but who was she kidding anyway?

"Haven't. Heck, do-gooders love to ruin my fun." Well, you just have to be stopped sometimes.
