She’d had a funny feeling about that chocolate Anna was about to eat.
There was something about it that didn’t sit right with her. Elsa knew most of the chocolates Anna liked, and while it certainly looked like one of the usuals, it still looked off...
So she had taken the chocolate from her sister, telling her it was a mint one, the kind that Anna couldn’t stand, and ended up becoming poisoned instead of her sister. The last thing she remembered seeing before her legs gave out was her sister trying to help her stand and at least sit down. And as she had felt herself getting worse and worse, she came around sometimes -- hearing Anna arguing with someone, a cold facecloth being pressed to her forehead, Anna crying by her bedside about something, but what it was, she wasn’t sure.
That had been the last thing she had seen before she fell unconscious again.
She sat up with a gasp of air in what looked like the middle of the night, eyes wild, though her hair was the same as it usually was, a wild braid, though... though why she was in her ice dress, she had no idea. Had she simply fallen asleep in her clothes again?
There were no lights on in the room. Even the fireplace, which was usually burning until the early hours of the morning, was out. The only light was from the full moon outside. She hesitated slightly before getting out of bed, slipping her shoes on and heading outside onto her balcony, allowing herself to stand fully in the moonlight as she looked over her kingdom.
Why were all the lights off? Why did everything seem much quieter and still? What was going on?
“Hello?” She eventually called out, looking around for something, anything that was a sign of life. “Is... Is anybody there? What’s going on?”
