Haven't talked about my ocs and their world for a bit so here's some critters that live in the Fellwoods.

Lot's of the fish in the river. Careful, if you're in a boat there's a good chance one of them will fly out and hut your face.

Luckily, the deer thing is not common at all. Only seen at night. They carry an overpowering stench of decaying plants.

Over the weekend, I shared the brand new album Gyromancer (2014) by Oregon’s adventurous doomers FELLWOODS. If you haven’t heard their 2011 debut, Wulfram (2011), mein gott are you gonna love me for introducing you. Think of a cross between Kadavar and Sleep…jettisoned into outer space.

From the year 2037 comes the latest release of extra-dimensional progressive psych-rock by Portland, Oregon four-piece FELLWOODS. Ensconced in the doom-stoner tradition, yet reaching forward into the future, giving us a glimpse of the kind of jams we’ll perhaps all be playing together aboard spaceships destined for Earth II on the long trek across the galaxy.

Fellwoods - Wulfram

Released last year, but only recently debuted on the internet, is a split between two established bands in the american doom scene.

The prolific trio Ice Dragon present us with a lo-fi rendition of the occult. A classic 70's dark vibe with drowned out vocals and a killer doom riff that has been stuck in my mind ever since I heard it last year.

Fellwoods, on their side of the bargain, dare hide some truly infectious riffage after a forgettable acoustic intro. While the sound is also a throwback to the 70's, the production is in sharp contrast with that of Ice Dragon's. Crystal clear, bright and incisive. An elaborate complement for to garage approach of the Dragon.
