Shieldbearer was another concept of mine that was drawn when I was getting used to Aseprite. The idea was a hooded cat that carries around a dimensional bag. They’d reach in, pull something out, and either use it as a weapon or toss it at their opponents.

It never quite developed that way. Kero had the idea of the cat using a barrel lid as a shield.

That didn’t sound half bad. You don’t see characters use a shield on its own often. They don’t quite fit into an RPG class archetype, but they look cool, what more would I want? They would make the perfect Support Tank class.

It’s a simple cat design with a simple robe that I see White Mages in media use. I can’t say much about it, really. They’re shorter than the other Generics to emphasize just how useless they are at defending themselves.

Heals, buffs, revives, you know the drill. Keep them alive, they’ll keep you alive.
