In 2025, ERNTE completed work on their fourth album, Der schwarzen Flamme Vermächtnis. The result is a fierce and war-driven record that, while embracing a back- to-the-roots spirit, still carves out space for atmosphere and depth. A unique combination of "clean uncleanliness" or perhaps "sparkling filth," the album's utterly shredded soundfield yields a wealth of nuance and detail, dynamics and juxtaposition, even when ramping up to the fastest & most-metronomic tempos. Aesthetic signposts point to the cryogenic Nordic splendor of early Dødheimsgard and Manes to turn-of-the-millennium French berzerkers like Bael and Haemoth; nevertheless, ERNTE exhibit their own songwriting flair across this fourth full-length.
