Horn was formed as a solo project in 2002. The initial drive behind it was to create nature-themed Black Metal, focussing on the relation of man and nature in a regional context. The old material, being mainly concerned with detailed descriptions of nature and incorporating rather upbeat, folk-influenced riffing, has made way for more sinister themes and soundscapes over the years. "Apokalyps 1618" is Horn's 11th studio album and one of the most complex and versatile Horn outputs up to date, featuring lyrics in German, Swedish, Norwegian and English, 3 guest vocalists and an extravagant and multi-faceted cover art reminiscent of the works of Hieronymous Bosch.
