Emmett needs like 10 parades for what they have done for me today, and what they do daily for coping survivors/victims everywhere. believe that. I identify as queer and I'm kind of upset that you treated it was a bad word.
It's a slur. Some people are triggered by it. So I censor it. I also don't think I personally have the right to use it because there's evidence that camab trans people and nonstraight men are impacted by this word in ways other people are not--a trans woman informed me of this. it's an issue I'm still grappling with. Either way, it should not be used as an umbrella term or applied to people against their consent because not everyone is comfortable with the word.
