Hey @the-real-numbers I don’t know if this has come to your attention in the past, but there is a great (if criminally under-developed) wiki out there for the Finite Element Method: www.femwiki.wikidot.com I use it for my research in plasma physics, but it’s used widely by applied mathematicians / scientists / engineers and it’s a fun intersection between computer science and applied mathematics.
