Femmes in Formation is the first of many showcases from Philadelphia's newest neo-burlesque troupe, Raspberry Royale. Referenced from Beyonce's 2016 release, Lemonade, "Formation" started out as a call to action for femmes around the world. Raspberry Royale's first showcase is the answer to this call, bringing together talented queers of color from Philadelphia and abroad to channel their divine energy and create a show that is for us and by us. Featuring the comedic stylings of Cecily Alexandria; the dark, soulful stylings of Lucifer Rising's music, and performances by spoken word artist Shani Akilah as well as vendors and standard bar fare with headlining burlesque performances by the founding members of Raspberry Royale: Lilith Von Terror, Lucifer Rising and Miss Jessa Jordan! hosted by Skye DJ set by SCZ post-show $8 in adavance via: raspberryroyale.eventbrite.com $12 at the door The Irish Pol 114 Market St | Doors: 8 PM | Show: 9 PM | 21+
