she made him an ex-death eater and kill dumbledore
I’m gonna preface this by saying that I have a lot of strong opinions on Snape. I know people like him, and judging by your url, you might. So if you’re looking for an explanation of how I feel, you can keep reading. But if you really like Snape and will just get frustrated/riled up, I’m not trying to argue or convince anyone or be a dick, so feel free to pass on this too.
I know that him killing Dumbledore was the act of betrayal, but she set up the whole series so that we were supposed to mistrust Snape. From book 1, Snape is always the guy who they suspect most when something goes wrong, and a large part of the reason is because he bullies Harry (and many others) to such an extreme. When he does kill Dumbledore, JKR definitely wanted the readers to say, “He was so awful throughout this. I knew I shouldn’t have trusted him!!!” Which was basically Harry’s reaction.
Snape could have been a double-agent who was seemingly nice, indifferent towards, or even strict with his students. But JKR clearly didn’t think that it’d be very convincing. Ultimately, it’s a weird choice because Voldemort wouldn’t have really cared about Snape’s teaching style.
I think she did a very intense set-up and then tried to emotionally manipulate her audience into forgiving him/ret-coning all his actions with the chapter The Prince’s Tale. And as someone who is interested in writing, I think it’s a weak choice and bad writing.

i don't have to imagine snape being funny becaus he is
hey so i am a bit torn between “this can’t be serious” and being actually intrigued, so if you were interested in pursuing the/starting a discussion, i’d be happy to hear about any parts in the text which might back up your thesis

Oh nice, so very few people seem to think of the Cipher when they ship Shep and Javik. This is lovely!
I guess it’s just tricky to make use of. Bioware never really touched on what all information specifically was relayed with the Cipher (besides what I assume is at least the language), so the writer p much has to brainstorm the rest. But thank you for the compliment!

severus was not all-knowing, to him all he saw was harry babbling about fuck-knows what
Very true, and none of which speaks to the actual point I was making.
The actual quote (that I just posted, if you’d care to check it out for yourself) makes it plain that he’s literally denying Harry from the answer he needs just because he likes it.
