Astrid + Lagertha | 'I would never ever leave you...'

So this isn't actually that great a video, it actually turned out to be one giant mess (I much prefer my other vid for these two here) and was supposed to be only like 2 mins but of course this is me and the majority of my videos have to be too long.

Also just to clarify, I of course don't think Astrid loved Harald (I simply thought the voiceover worked really well there and also kind of plays into the paranoia that Lagertha developed with all her relationships). I think it's possible she felt pity and perhaps a little affection for him towards the end (in a Stockholm Syndrome-y way), but we're talking about the man who kidnapped her and forced her into marriage (cos let's be real, she was in no position to refuse his proposal) and that's not something I see someone like Astrid forgetting or forgiving anytime soon (in saying that, the writers may or may not have been going for a romantic angle with those two, considering pretty much all of the relationships on the show are rather unhealthy, including A + L in some ways, and the women tend to put up with a lot. Lagertha leaving Ragnar at the beginning of s2 was a power move but then she kept helping him despite the fact that he continued to disrespect her or treat her like shit so that was annoying. And then she did an about face in s4 and seemed to blame Aslaug entirely for the affair which idk felt ooc when compared to her original stance but I digress). Astrid tried to make the best of her situation and I bloody wish the writers had let her succeed. She deserved so much better.

Two sexy pilots meet in a space port for a one night stand! This week's Fanwork Friday is Hurricane by Laura Shapiro.

Hurricane is a crossover, constructed reality vid, where Aeryn Sun from Farscape and Kara Thrace from Battlestar Galactica meet. The first half of the vid highlights the parallels between the two characters, and the second half uses clever editing and the use of additional non-canon footage to make it look like they shared an intimate night together. It’s often praised by femslash fans, and has featured at conventions.
