it starts one year when they’re both single and decide to go to paris together, because they don’t need a man on valentine’s day. so they go and they shop and they indulge in sweets and alcohol and they have a w o n d e r f u l time. on their last night they finally visit the eiffel tower and maybe its the chocolate or the wine or the lights but whatever it is there, at the top of the tower, their lips meet in one very sweet moment and they realize that maybe they don’t need a man at all. it becomes tradition after that, to spend the holiday in pairs (and their birthdays in greece and rome) and on their third trip, right where they had their first kiss, tracey proposes and daphne says y e s.
